Costa Rica Tour

Day 1: Arrive in Costa Rica. Your Tour guide will be waiting for you outside of the airport with a sign with your group name on it, ready to take you to your hotel. Welcome dinner at 7 pm.

Day 2: Travel to the Arenal volcano area, on the way stop to see beautiful waterfalls. A welcome tour in our Tropical Paradise bungalow gardens, and afterward a Rain Forest tour: Get ready to explore the rain forest/jungle near one of Costa Rica’s reserves: Maquenque. During this guided walk you will be on forest trails learning about nature and wildlife in the jungle. This tour has different levels for everyone of all ages. (*Easy level walking trails for all, option of a bit more challenging trail for those that would like to try it)

Day 3: Natural hot springs: After about a 10-minute walk on trails in a transition, tropical forest you can soak and relax and enjoy the beauty of nature while sipping a piña colada in pools of different temperatures. (This hot spring is located alongside a river in the middle of the jungle; Easy a level walking trail, with a bit of incline in a couple of spots)

Day 4: Blue Morpho Butterfly Farm tour: On this interesting tour learn all about butterflies in Costa Rica and their life development. You will see gorgeous blue morphos and others flying all around you in an enclosure where you can take photographs. After the butterfly tour, you will travel a bit further up into the mountains to the Cloud Forest to see breathtaking views of this different type of forest. This area is incredibly beautiful with a deep canyon and a massive waterfall. This is a wonderful place to photograph nature, and cloud forest landscapes, and observe a nice variety of hummingbirds and other birds that inhabit this elevation in the cloud forest. Enjoy walking trails and breathtaking views. (* Easy-level walking trails)

Day 5: Arenal volcano tour: Learn the history of Arenal volcano this morning, enjoying gorgeous views of the giant cone-shaped volcano and the lake at its base. See the surrounding forest and watch for wildlife along the way. Open the afternoon to explore the town of La Fortuna and relax back at the bungalows by the swimming pool and hammocks. (*Easy level trails, some inclines)

Day 6: Open morning at the bungalows, and after check out travel to Alajuela, close to the airport. 6 pm farewell dinner.

Day 7: Return home. Take the hotel shuttle at your convenient time to the airport.

Land Package prices signify that…
BCT will provide your transportation during the tour but you will be required to arrange your own transportation (be that airfare or train or car) at the beginning and after the tour.

Unless the arrival and departure hotels provide complimentary hotel/airport shuttle service Land Package travelers will need to arrange their own airport/hotel transportation.
