Do Travel Agents have to make reservations for their clients?

While it’s best that they do it’s not absolutely necessary. It’s a nice customer service point if they do and it’s much easier for a TA* to select themselves as the agent on the reservation than for a customer to.

The TA system was designed for the TA* to make the Reservations so if a customer is making the reservation for the agent then they have to act like a TA* and select the ‘I am a Travel Agent’ box and then the name of the Travel Agent is readily available. A Travel Agents name is NOT in the Trip Partner list only in the Travel Agent drop down list.
