    Suggested Itinerary

    Day 01
    Depart for Sri Lanka

    Day 02
    Arrive Colombo International Airport Sri Lanka. Welcome committee will transfer you to your Colombo Hotel.

    Day 03
    Bethel Visit and Colombo half a day City Tour that includes: Fort, the former British administrative center, Old Parliament Building, the BMICH, and Independence Square. Shopping tour is added, and guests can shop at ODEL and House of Fashion which is famous for garments, Noritake Porcelain Center.

    Day 04
    Colombo / Sigiriya. explore Sigiriya’s Lion Rock About halfway up the rock is a sheltered gallery of frescoes painted on the sheer rock face. The so-called ‘Heavenly Maidens’ are similar in style to the paintings of Ajantha in India.

    Day 05
    Girithale / Polonnaruwa. tour the ruins of ancient Polonnaruwa, which date from the late 10th century, when the Chola kings of southern India invaded Sri Lanka and conquered Anuradhapura

    Day 06 & 07
    Girithale / Nilaweli. Enjoy Trincomalee harbor and beaches; increasingly popular with visitors. Blessed with sunny weather throughout the year, with more than a dozen sheltered bays, white sand beaches, a sea that is uniformly calm and placid and warm, and offering the underwater photographer and explorer a variety of visual delights.

    Day 08
    Nilaweli / Kandy. Kandy, the charming hill capital, cultural centre of the island and a World Heritage City. Nestling amidst low hills, and looped by the Mahaweli river, Sri Lanka’s largest, Kandy is still the home of the arts and crafts, music and dance and song of the Kandyan Kings. On the way from Trinco to Kandy can visit wood carving factories and spice gardens. Also enjoy the Traditional Kandyan Dance.

    Day 09
    Kandy / Pinnawala & Back. Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is an orphanage and breeding ground established in 1975 for abandoned elephants in Sri Lanka and is currently home to one of the largest elephant herds in captivity in the world with more than sixty elephants. Visit a batik factory and see the skill and hard work that goes into producing the beautiful pictures and items of clothing on sale in India and around the world. Also shop the gems stores and crafts renowned all over the world for their beauty, brilliant color, clarity and value for more than thousands of years.

    Day 10 & 11
    Kandy / N’ Eliya. Delight in the Peradeniya Botanical gardens, the finest of its kind in Asia. From Kandy the next destination is Nuwara Eliya. Enjoy the magnificent scenery of Water Falls, mist clad mountains, British – style houses with fragrant flower gardens. Visit a tea factory, which manufactures the best quality, high grown, tea in Sri Lanka and refresh yourself for a freshly brewed Sri Lanka tea. Also enjoy Nuwara Eliya (City of Lights), also known as ‘Little’ England’.

    Day 12 & 13
    N’ Eliya / Bentota. On the way from Nuwara Eliya to Bentota can see some water falls such as Devon Falls and St Clare’s Water Fall. Bentota city is famous for golden beaches; The town is a popular foreign tourist attraction. Realte stories and experience together at a Farewell Dinner

    Day 14
    Bentota / Colombo International Airport for flight home.

    Day 12: Turtle Watching / Whales and Dolphin Watching / Boat Ride in Madu Ganga / Water Sports

    Turtle Conservation Project/hatchery
    Five species sea turtles lay eggs along the coasts of Sri Lanka. The hatcheries and conservation projects aim to increase the odds for a turtles survival. On a visit you will be able hear about the work they are doing, see turtles of varying eggs and may even get the chance to hold one or two.

    Whales and Dolphin Watching in Sri Lanka
    Mirissa is one of the places can watch whales and dolphins in Sri Lanka. It has confirmed by many researchers in the field that the deep southern waters off Sri Lanka (off Dondra Point) is the best in the world for seeing Blue and Sperm whales.

    Water Sports in Sri Lanka
    Bentota is Sri Lanka’s water-sports center. The sea here is calm and an excellent diving location. The beach divides into two, the north and comprising a spit of land – dubbed “Paradise Island” – diving the waves of the Indian Ocean from the still waters of the Bentota lagoon. The Bentota Lagoon offers a wide range of water-sports such as wind-surfing, water-skiing, canoeing, banana-boating and deep-sea fishing.

We will notify you three months, or less, before your departure of any additional fees.

    Regarding Land Package Pricing:

    Land Package prices signify that…

    1. BCT will provide your transportation during the tour but you will be required to arrange your own transportation (be that airfare or train or car) at the beginning and after the tour.
    2. Unless the arrival and departure hotels provides complimentary hotel/airport shuttle service Land Package travelers will need to arrange their own airport/hotel transportation. For Instance: On most NY trips the BCT provided arrival/departure hotel(s) may provide complimentary hotel/airport shuttle service. However on many of BCT’s international trips arrival and departure hotels may not.
    3. BCT is not responsible for any cost associated with the cost of your transportation (be that airfare or train or car) at the beginning and after the tour. Including penalties, fees and/or rebooking cost when a trip is cancelled or moved.

    All itineraries are subject to adjustment as required. Confirmed, final and detailed itineraries (and additional important travel details) are posted on your Personal BCT Travel Desktop, approximately one month from departure.

    A deposit of $250 per person is required at the time you make your reservation to ensure your space on the tour. Refunds are possible only to those who purchase travel insurance, provided cancellation conditions are met. Payment in full is due 90 days before the trip departure date for Full Package and 60 days before departure for Land Package tours. Learn more ». Hotel information will be provided 30 days from the trips departure date for those who’ve confirmed their reservation(s).
