Travel the Capitals of Central Europe!
Our instructive and faith-building tour will help you to appreciate our rich spiritual heritage and discover the charm of the Central Europe. “Best of Central Europe” tour starts in Prague (Czech Republic) and ends in Budapest (Hungary).
Our tour includes hop-on/hop-off sightseeing tours in Vienna and Budapest, a Bible tour in the Ephesus museum (Vienna), a cruise on Vltava river (Prague) and Danube river (Budapest), visit to the Hungary Branch office of Jehovah’s Witnesses and transport passes in Prague, Vienna and Budapest.

Our tour is physically active. We believe the best way to get to the heart of a city is on foot, surrounded by the people and the culture. For this reason, we do walking tours through most of the cities we visit. It will be a vigorous pace with a great deal of walking on ancient pavements, up and down stairs, and hilly terrain. Expect to be on your feet, walking and standing, indoors and outdoors, and in all weather conditions. It is not recommended for physically challenged travelers who need assistance walking or those with limited stamina or mobility.

DAY 1 – ARRIVE PRAGUE, WELCOME AND ORIENTATION
After settling into the hotel, meet in the hotel lobby for a welcome and orientation meeting with your tour leader and fellow travelers.

DAY 2 – PRAGUE SIGHTSEEING

Prague is known as the “city of a hundred spires“. It is a historic jewel of Central Europe. Our walking tour today will take you to the most important sights in Mala Strana (Strahov Library, Prague Castle, Golden Lane, Vrtba garden, Charles Bridge).
Our tour provides amazing documentation of the history of religion – we will see why the Czech Republic is rich in religious culture, but the least religious country in all of Central Europe.
Afternoon and evening is time for independent exploration.

DAY 3 – PRAGUE SIGHTSEEING

We begin our day by visiting Prague’s most famous landmark – the Old Town Square. The square is one of the most historic sites from medieval Europe and includes the world-famous Astronomical Clock. We continue our tour by visiting Josefov (Jewish Quarter) with its fascinating history.
After lunch, we end our tour on Vltava river cruise.

DAY 4 – PRAGUE – VIENNA

After breakfast we take the high-speed train from Prague directly to Vienna. Travel time is about 4 hours. Your hotel in Vienna is in walking distance of Vienna Central Station.
After settling into the hotel, you may want to start exploring Vienna on your own by following our Vienna walking tour suggestions and using your transport and museum passes. Your tour leader will provide you with suggestions for a self-guided walking tour.

DAY 5 – VIENNA SIGHTSEEING

We begin our day with a walking tour in the historic center of Vienna. Our route will take you to the most important sights in the old town (St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Volksgarten, Parliament, Rathaus, Graben), as well as through romantic alleys and beautiful parks. The walking tour will help you to get a sense of the capital and give you a taste of its history and culture.
In the afternoon enjoy the visit to the Ephesus Museum (Neue Burg palace) and the Bible tour “Keep the Love You Had at First”.
Evening at leisure.

DAY 6 – VIENNA SIGHTSEEING

We begin our day with a visit to Schönbrunn Palace and Gardens. Schönbrunn Palace is one of Europe’s most beautiful Baroque complexes. From the 18th century to 1918, Schönbrunn was the residence of the Habsburg emperors. Maria Theresa, Emperor Franz Joseph, Empress Elisabeth (Sisi) and others once resided at Schönbrunn Palace. Due to its historical significance, its unique layout and magnificent furnishings, the palace is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
At evening you may enjoy a classical music concert and admire some of the world’s most beautiful pieces of music (optional).

DAY 7 – VIENNA – BUDAPEST

DAY 8 – BUDAPEST – THE BRANCH OFFICE OF JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES

Budapest, the capital of Hungary, is considered by many to be the “Paris of the East.”
In the morning we will visit Hungary Branch Office of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
In the afternoon we enjoy the informative sightseeing of Buda on the Danube’s west bank (Buda Castle, Fisherman’s Bastion, Chain Bridge).

DAY 9 – BUDAPEST

Today we enjoy the informative sightseeing of Pest on the Danube’s east bank (Hungarian Parliament, Vorosmarty Ter, Gerbeaud’s, Vaci Street).
In the evening we enjoy a Danube River cruise with farewell dinner and the stunning landmarks and monuments of Budapest.

DAY 10 – DEPARTURE

You will never be rushed from one attraction to the other. It is not recommended for physically challenged travelers who need assistance walking or those with limited stamina or mobility.
All itineraries are subject to adjustment as required. Confirmed, final, and detailed itineraries (and additional important travel details) will be sent approximately one month from departure.

BCT will provide your transportation during the tour but you will be required to arrange your own transportation (be that airfare or train or car) at the beginning and after the tour.Unless the arrival and departure hotels provide complimentary hotel/airport shuttle service Land Package travelers will need to arrange their own airport/hotel transportation.
BCT is not responsible for any cost associated with the cost of your transportation (be that airfare or train or car) at the beginning and after the tour. Including penalties, fees, and/or rebooking costs when a trip is canceled or moved.
